I’ve had the pleasure of working with Catherine Fournier through her campaign to become the next mayor of the city of Longueuil. Her party, Coalition Longueuil, and herself won the election by a landslide, leading to even more opportunites to create content that elevated narratives, communicated efficiently and built trust with the citizens.

During the campaign, these were the key pieces of content I produced & edited — they were part of a communication strategy developed in part by me as well.

After winning her election by a landslide, I joined her staff as a communications advisor, working on different products & initatives using a combination of strategy and content creation.

Communicating Effectivly — The Deer

Longueuil is facing a difficult situation: they are too many deer in the regional park and their presence is destroying the ecosystem as well as endegring the public as they venture into streets.

The public was already very sensitive about this issue, meeaning we needed to be assertive and show empathy in this issue.

Sharing Information, Beautifully.

One of the first promises made by Coalition Longueuil was to clean and maintain the bike lanes in winter. An important action and a strong message for promoting active mobility. This piece was a chance to show you can make annoncements about bike lanes interesting, when done well.

Transparency & Respect.

When presenting initatives that will cost taxpayers a lot, it often becomes a challenge in communication. Though, this time, we were able to share key informations without frustrating citizens — by respecting the intelligence of the people of Longueuil and being transparent about the timeline and cost of the project.
